Nick Carney
Multimedia Producer and Creative Consultant, Head of Communications and Business Development
Born and raised in Southern California, USA, Nick Carney is a professional videographer and photographer and communications expert who is a member of the Envision Rwanda community as a multimedia producer and creative consultant, as well as the Head of Communications and Business Development. He previously served as a Global Health Corps Fellow working in communications, marketing, and multimedia production at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda, an initiative of Partners In Health. Prior to this, he completed the Leadership Development Program at leading marketing and technology company HubSpot in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he specialized in video production, social media strategy, digital marketing, and working with startups.
As a filmmaker, his films have won numerous awards at film festivals across the world, including a Student Academy Award nomination. As a photographer, he has been featured by brands such as Panasonic, Partners In Health, Visit Rwanda, Travel Afrique, Omaze, and more. He has extensive experience managing the creative needs of organizations of all kinds, including graphic designs for social media, creating annual reports, producing video and audio content, and developing overall creative strategy.
